Thanks to the wonderful support of our sponsors, donors, participants and volunteers the 2014 event was an outstanding success. We will be distributing $16,650 in scholarships and funding assistance for youth programs in the Santiam Canyon. These awards will be presented during the North Santiam Canyon Chamber of Commerce annual awards night April 23, 2015. With the awarding of the funds from our 2014 event we will have distributed $130,360 during the 14 years that we have held the tournament.
The 2015 tournament (our 15th annual event) is scheduled for Saturday August 1, 2015 at Elkhorn Valley golf course. The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. and feature a tri tip lunch along with on course hors d’ oeuvres. Details on entering a team for the event and sponsorship/donation may be found at the tournament web site www.ybgolf.com. This tournament is a fun event (several players in the 2014 event stated “Mike I have played in a lot of tournaments but never in one as well run as this one”. The tournament is an opportunity to join your name with a hugely respected event.
